Lakes and reservoirs from the USGS Geographic Names Information System, towns from the US Census. Sun, moon and solunar times computed by Great Outdoor Hubs. Solunar is a tradition, not a forecast.

How it works

Made for one water, printed for you

  1. Step 1
    Pick your water

Search a lake, reservoir or town, or use your location at the spot itself. Name the calendar anything you like.

  2. Step 2
    Make it yours

Choose cream, midnight or forest, and swap any month's chart for one of your own photos.

  3. Step 3
    We print and ship it

Printed to order on silk paper and shipped to you. Every page looks the way it did in your preview.

A gift for the angler who already knows which cove they will be on in May.

On the coast? Make a tide calendar with every day's tides for your beach or harbor. Or plan the garden with a garden calendar.

Common questions

Fishing calendar questions

Twelve months, each on two pages. The top page is a sun and moon chart of the whole month: one column per day, daylight and night, and the major and minor periods, with the moon phases, the month's daylight and its best solunar days. The bottom page is the grid: each day's 24 hours as a bar, the major and minor period times, sunrise and sunset, a solunar rating and US federal holidays. The cover shows the year's daylight with every full and new moon, and the back explains how to read it.

We compute them for the exact point you pick, from standard astronomical formulas for the sun and the moon. Nothing is looked up from a table for the nearest town, so a lake two hours west gets its own times.

Major periods are about two hours around the moon passing overhead and underfoot. Minor periods are about an hour around moonrise and moonset. Many anglers plan their days around them. Solunar is a long-standing angling tradition, not a forecast, and we print it as one.

The search covers tens of thousands of named lakes and reservoirs from the US Geological Survey, plus every US town. Rivers and streams are not in the search: pick the nearest town, or stand on the bank and use "Use my location". You can name the calendar anything you like.

Yes, for any month. Your photo replaces that month's chart page, cropped to the page's shape. We tell you if a photo is too small to print sharply. Use only photos you took or have the right to print.

Each page is A4 landscape (11.7 x 8.3 inches), so the calendar opens to 11.7 x 16.5 inches when it hangs. It is printed on 300gsm silk paper and wire bound.

Each calendar is printed to order, which takes about five business days, then ships to you within the US. Shipping is included in the $39. For Christmas delivery, order by December 8.

Every calendar is made for one spot and one person, so we can't take returns. If yours arrives damaged, misprinted or not at all, email us within 30 days and we'll reprint it free.
